The project consisted of a new library building and associated learning support, multipurpose, computer and staff areas.
Built on an extremely difficult site in close proximity to existing learning areas, the project presented many logistical challenges. These were largely overcome through regular and cooperative consultation between the school and construction staff to ensure both could continue to operate with limited impact.
The extensive use of glass and bright open areas has created a modern and welcoming learning addition to the school community.
Moreton Bay Boys College Library was the Regional winner of the Queensland Master Builders Housing & Construction Award 2019 for Educational Facilities up to $10 million
